Hosted by Foundation board members, Vivian Cardia and Mary Anne Fusco, the reception included a video presentation about the Foundation’s main objective: The renewal of the Pontifical Institute of Theology at Posillipo, a one hundred year old seminary and institute of theology in a small section of Naples, Italy called Posillipo.

The evening included a video presentation and remarks by Rev. Michael J. Garanzini, S.J., Board Chair of The Foundation and Rev. Francesco De Luccia, S.J., the Posillipo Project Director, who flew in from Naples, Italy for the event. Also in attendance were board members, James R. Borynack, CEO of Wally Findlay Galleries, Dick Libretti, Partner at Sandler O’Neill & Partners and Rev. Daniel J. Gatti, S.J. The Pontifical Institute of Theology at Posillipo currently has one hundred seminarians and four hundred and fifty students, both religious and lay members, who are studying for undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Foundation currently has one underlying goal within its objective to renew the Institute: To promote the Institute’s work in addressing poverty and the current migrant crisis, and to form individuals, both priests and the lay people, to participate fully in compassionate service to others.
